At 34 years of age, this is my all time holy grail foundation! I just purchased this MAC foundation for the first time this year, and I can’t believe I waited so long to do so! I have heard all kinds of wonderful things about MAC makeup, especially their foundation. I wish I would have tried it earlier!
Ulta had this foundation on sale; I ended up paying $18,40 for it (between the sale & a coupon I had, could have paid even less if I used my points but I’m saving them). I have been needing new foundation, as I only had my drug store one left. It would have been stupid not to try it, at that price.
Due to COVID, I ordered it via the Ulta app. I was pretty nervous, not knowing what shade I was. Temptalia’s foundation matcher was a life saver here! I used my Double Wear & Huda foundation shades to match, to find my MAC shade — which it came up with NW20 (the number / no name shade, added to my nerves).
Due to COVID/holidays, my package from Ulta was extremely late. As soon as it arrived, I washed/toned/moisturized/primed my face then tore the box open. I was a little disappointed in myself for not buying a pump for it (NOTE: BUY A PUMP!!) The foundation is normally only $30 at Ulta; paying for a pump would make it about the same price as other high end foundations. I used a spatula to get the foundation out, but I definitely just ordered a pump bc I was afraid of wasting too much product if I didn’t.
I used a makeup brush (it cosmetics airbrush) to apply & blend it, then a beauty blender to finish blending. After 1 coat, I had perfectly flawless skin! It wasn’t too matte, nor dry. It just had this natural finish. I figured it was going to be much more matte than it was. I was very impressed with just the one coat. I didn’t use much product either. I had about half left, of what I got out with my spatula — which was wasted, so get a pump!! Lol
After the one coat, I applied cream contour & highlight, a little concealer under my eyes, set my face my ABH loose translucent powder & sprayed with setting spray. My makeup was still set & looked the same, when I took it off for bed. I have used it a few more times since & I’m just as pleased as I was the first day. I definitely recommend this MAC foundation!

Not too many reviews on the shade NC12 can be found around the internet and it sucks, but i am here to say I am a pale/light skinned latina and this shade actually matches me pretty well! ive always used foundations that are too dark as in yellow toned for me and its embarrassing when you see results in pictures lol.. even other high end brands who claim the tone is «neutral» are still too dark.. i dont know what MAC did here but i am impressed! I love this matte and full coverage foundation so much and im happy i was able to find my shade in the studio fix fluid line.

I have two different undertones, my face is neutral and my neck is yellow. I experimented with this shade and it was dark, it didn\’t match my neck skin tone. I used it, until the sample was gone. I would say that this foundation is a medium coverage. I couldn\’t give this rate as a percentage on here.

Good color got a neutral skin tone. I seem to be a combination of pink and yellow undertones so I’m not sure this is the best match. I’ve also been matched as NC30 which is totally different.
